Restaurant · Full-service assignment
Badhytten Skanör
A new restaurant interior is taking shape on the beach in Skanör. Together with Joyn Studios, AB Gunnar Svensson handled design development, cost planning and project management, and supplied all fixed and loose furnishings.
From planning to completed interior
Close collaboration by the sea
The project began in winter 2025/2026 with the aim of refurbishing Badhytten and creating a coherent environment that works equally well for the operation and its guests.
In close collaboration with Joyn Studios, we worked on design development, cost planning and ongoing project management. By coordinating finances, details, manufacturing and deliveries, the ideas could be followed all the way to the completed restaurant.
The location
A restaurant among the dunes
Badhytten sits directly on Skanör beach, surrounded by the sea and dunes. The location places particular demands on materials, logistics and solutions designed for intensive restaurant use in an exposed coastal setting.
The refurbishment was planned to make the most of the view and relaxed coastal atmosphere, while giving the restaurant’s flows and functions a clear structure.

Fixed furnishings
Details that shape the dining room
The fixed furnishings form the restaurant’s structure. Bespoke banquettes, screens, service solutions and joinery were developed to combine a distinctive expression with efficient everyday operation.
Striped textiles and natural tones meet the warmth of timber, connecting the interior with its surroundings.

Loose furnishings
A coherent whole, indoors and out
The assignment also includes all loose furnishings. Tables, chairs, sofas, textiles and complementary details were selected and coordinated to create one consistent restaurant experience from dining room to terrace.
On the terrace, the furniture meets the beach directly. Flexible seating and durable materials allow the environment to adapt to season, weather and different groups.
